Merry X'MAS and a Happy New Yr

2007 has been a memorable year for Singapore Soccer. Our Lions successfully defended the Asean Championship in January this year and capped an unforgettable year by marching into the 3rd round of the World Cup qualifiers.

Unwilling to be outdone by their seniors, the Khairul Amri led Young Lions won the 1st ever medal in the SEA games since the competition introduced the age cap of 23 yrs old.

Our national team has risen from the ashes, from the 4-0 drubbling by malaysia in the 2002 Tiger cup, from falling to qualify for the SEA games semis since 1999 to a team that most fear in the region.

Lets continue to progress and job well done to all those at the NFA for churning out one youngster after another. The future of Singapore football has never been brighter.

I wish all readers a Merry Christmas and a fruitful 2008 ahead.
